Rhododendron Park in Haaga

The Rhododendron Park in Haaga is part of a plant breeding work, that is unique in Finnish conditions. In the area of 8 hectare 3000 rhododendron hybrids were planted in 1975. The aim is to create strains that are versatile and adapted to Finnish climate. The park is open all year round without charge, but is its most spectacular in late May, early June when all the plants are blooming.
